“Satan had his Companions, fellow-devils, to admire him and encourage him, but I am solitary and detested”
-Mary Shelley, Frankenstein
Obsessed with the secret of creation, Swiss scientist Dr. Victor Frankenstein cobbles together a body he is determined to bring to life. And one fateful night, he does. This creation is nothing but a hideous monster.
I am in love with Gothic novels. It’s like they have actually predicted the future trauma. Also, the creation of Frankenstein wasn’t a monster but when he sees that society abandons him because of his abnormal looks. He drowns into hatred towards his master as he ignores his utmost creation.
I loved this book right through my heart.
The plight of demon came when he received no friend and family to care for him. This book actually says that not only humans but also demons can be loved if they have a beating heart. Also, destruction can be seen with the same.
Somewhere or the other, I cannot imagine the problems through which the demon goes through. There’s nothing about this book that made me feel foolish. It is just who we are!
Because Heart wants what it wants!
